Artist's Description
GARDENIA SHADOWS, by VIVA Anderson, is anything but 'realism' , now! Through the glass 'darkly'....I've so enjoyed giving this an air of mystery; highlighting the textures of the floor where the shadows fell, just to intrigue me, I am sure! A nod to contre-jour photography, celebrating the backlighting of the plant by the brilliant sunshine where it stands, on my balcony, but this: the view taken through inside, looking out the windowglass, "darkly" ! Such is contre-jour !!
