ALONG CAME A SPIDER PHOTOGRAPHY ......................................
…………….........................................................................................
IMMORTALITY, is my photo of a deadly spider, dead!, found at my window. He sparked
thoughts of mortality, inevitibility, of the end of life, and, our legacy: sometimes meaningful,
other times, wasted. A lesson, in symbolism photography, imho. And a rare opportunity to
immortalize the natural death of the myriad creatures Mother Nature createsand takes.
He was in MYroom, at my window, in from the rains. Inevitable that he would not survive.
And so, goodbye sweet friend: this is THE END. Gone, but, not forgotten, lesson learned.
A spider sewed at night
Without a light
Upon an arc of white.
If ruff it was of dame
Or shroud of gnome,
Himself, himself inform.
Of immortality
His strategy
Was physiognomy.

Insanity it is VIVA. Good photo. Spider…fly…both dead. I hate spiders almost as much as I hade scorpions. I admire your bravery. Oh my, lions and tigers and bears…oh my!

Outstanding...image...and description! ! ! Together they weave a web of 'unexpected implications'...symbolic, active imagination at its wondrous best - purposive ambiguity and pregnant of consequence...twisted into a yarn of historical immortality - all with the mere click of the shutter...by VIVA Anderson!!!!! Wonderful reminder of the delicate balance we call 'Life' .... - tdp

I can't really save this as a 'favorite', but what you wrote on immortality, life, the natural way of the world, the transience and the Emily Dickenson poem -- a powerful statement.
