Description
Shearing Shed Door, by VIVA Anderson, is my photo taken in the country, here in Australia, while visiting a farm. I just love the colours, shapes, and the history of shearing this evokes, as seen by its battered condition, after much use by the Lamb industry farmers....made famous by the founding artists and musicians, so long ago, in paintings, and songs, and poetry.....
''Abandoned Shearing Shed''
excerpt.

Australia.
''Far away in the outback solitude
Where the earth is a fine red sand
Forgotten, alone and in ruins
The abandoned shearing shed stands.
It was built of rough bush timber
Each log cut by willing hands
By the pioneers of days gone by
When first they'd come to this land.''
