From my archives,with thanks,dear Jane::::::::::Jane SmallPosted ...Hello Vivian! Sorry to have been so long.Struggling as always to keep up! Now,I think this must be my third comment on this,my favourite ever still life. Just hoping it does not EVER disappear from view again! I LOVE it so much and it is difficult to formulate exactly,but it always reminds me of batik which I'm very fond of. Then it has a milky quality which is more than just because there is a milk bottle,but because the delicious creaminess infiltrates the whole piece.Then the warm oranges and mulberry tones of the fruit and bowl just delight the eye and blend and flow so beautifully. Hope so much that explains the feeling ! L/F.
